NURI MAHMOUD
Nuri Mahmoud is a co-founder of RI Elite. He coached at the Rocky Hill School from 2012-2019. In 2018 and 2019 they made back to back nepsac finals appearances for the first time in school history. He was a member of the 2008 Classical High School undefeated state championship team, contributing 18 points and 17 rebounds, he then went on to Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Graduating with a double major in Economics and Sociology. His passion and dedication to the growth of our student athletes has been a catalyst for success.
He looks to continue to teach our student-athletes core values such as responsibility, integrity and discipline through the game of basketball.
NICK LIGHT
Nick Light is the Director/Co-Founder of Rhode Island Elite. He played two years of varsity at Pilgrim High School and at Mitchell College from 2011-2013. He is truly dedicated to helping the student-athletes of Rhode Island to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
He looks to continue to teach our student-athletes core values such as hard work, dedication and responsibility through the game of basketball.
RAY PENA
Ray Pena is the Director of Recruiting of Rhode Island Elite. He coached at Hyde School from 2017-2019. In 2018 and 2019 they won back to back NEPSAC Class C Championships. He was a memeber of the Central High School varsity team in RI. He went on to Bristol Community College/Lasell University from 2012-2014. Graduating with a double major in Human Services and Criminal Justice. He is dedicated to helping those in his community reach their full potential while providing endless resources.
He looks to continue to teach our student-athletes core values such as courage, leadership and discipline through the game of basketball.
